We are currently seeking candidates for a Boiler & Refrigeration Technician III to join our team at Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA.

What you will do:

•  The Refrigeration and Boiler Operation and Repair Technician III performs a variety of specialized, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, operations, upgrades, and repairs of systems related to refrigeration, heating, and utility systems. Under minimal supervision this position ensures maximum operating efficiency to key utility systems needed for the wine making and bottling process. This position operates and maintains systems that fall under regulatory compliance laws and requires participation in the emergency response team.
•  Report to work on time for their scheduled shifts and attendance is within the SMWE Attendance Guidelines, be willing to work assigned shifts at their scheduled locations in Eastern WA
•  Understands and Follows the Hourly Maintenance Employee Expectations Guidelines
•  Must Understand and Apply Safe Work Practices Related to Refrigeration, Boilers, Mechanical an Electrical Systems, And Utilities Work. examples would include: LOTO, Elevated Work, Confined Space, ARC Flash, Hot Work, Electrical Regulations (NEC), Process Safety Management (PSM), And Safety Procedures Set by The SMWE Environmental Health and Safety Department.
•  This roll requires participation in The Emergency Response Team, requiring being fit tested, mask fit, and response ready.
•  Must have a high level of Professionalism and Craftsmanship and Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows codes, industry standards, and best practices set out by regulatory agencies and guidelines like: EPA, OSHA, WISHA, FDA, AHRA, NEC and PSM.
•  Trains lesser skilled technicians and guides maintenance team on refrigeration, and utilities while promoting Best Practices and Industry Standards
•  Work Collaboratively with team members of all departments and grades within a team and Goal Oriented Environment.
•  Ability to read and create piping, line diagrams, PID and instrumentation schematics related to Refrigeration, and Utility Systems.
•  Extensive knowledge of industrial pumped ammonia refrigeration systems that include chillers, jacketed tanks, and area comfort cooling.
•  Knowledge and experience with process safety management (PSM) related to ammonia refrigeration. To include MOC, PHA, MI, and other elements.
•  Knowledge in water treatment related to condensers, potable water, and wastewater systems.
•  Knowledge of industrial water systems, underground plumbing, and filtration systems.
•  Ability to perform pipefitting, soldering, and brazing in support of refrigeration, and utility systems.
•  Familiarity with AC and DC electrical system to include low voltage DC control circuits to 3 phase 480-volt systems
•  Knowledge of VFDs, electrical motors, and controls related to refrigeration, and utilities, systems.
•  Mechanical ability to install and align motors, gear boxes, pumps, and other mechanical components.
•  Ability to assist with rebuilds of pumps, blowers, compressors, related to refrigeration, and utility systems.
•  Ability to perform calculations needed for operation of refrigeration, and utility systems. Examples include volumes, flow rates, temperature differential and thermal loads.
•  Knowledge of thermal imaging, meters, and other test equipment needed for preventive maintenance of refrigeration, and utility systems.
•  Is Knowledgeable in Water Treatment in Relation to Boilers, Potable Water and Wastewater Systems.
•  Follow Preventative Maintenance Plans, Procedures, SOP's, and Scope of work as assigned to include Writing the Procedures and Maintenance Plans for Boiler, Gas and Plant utilities.
•  Able to work with outside contractors to fulfill utility needs for the facility
•  Document all work performed and log all hours worked within the CMMS system
•  Has the ability to look up and stock inventory items within the CMMS System
•  Complete Work assigned in a timely manner to stay within compliance of the weekly and longer-term Maintenance preventative Maintenance Schedule and Work Plans.
•  Must document all work in a work order management system (CMMS) with abilities to write work requests, parts request, follow work order directions, complete work orders, and communicate effectively with a maintenance planner and supervisor electronically. Preferred familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise One.
•  Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
•  Ability to write basic maintenance plans for refrigeration, and other utilities work.
•  Initiate and participate in project related discussions intended to increase and enhance overall equipment and production efficiencies across the site.
•  Attends company provided and vendor training in-house and off-site.
•  Performs other duties as assigned by supervision or required by the position. Other duties may require performing tasks of lesser skilled technicians.
•  Participate on the PSM Team to include development and writing of operating procedures.
•  Extensive knowledge of steam boilers used in industrial applications.
•  Ability to fabricate, that would include cutting, welding, grinding, fitting, using various processes like MIG, TIG, Stick, and Gas.
•  Program/troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC 500, Control Logix's, Device net, Ethernet IP,
