We are currently seeking candidates for a Maintenance Mechanic III to join our team at Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA.

What you will do:

•  The Eastern Washington Maintenance Technician III will support the Maintenance and Operations teams needs for the wine making process. This job encompasses Operational needs from the vine to finished goods. Key functions of this position are to support high speed bottling, harvest equipment, utilities, and facilities. The Maintenance Technician III will perform troubleshooting, upgrades, repairs. Assist with installations of plant systems, production equipment and related system components. The Maintenance Technician III will have working knowledge of tools materials and documentation needed for perform these tasks. Work with Maintenance Management and Planning teams to ensure maximum operating efficiency of all Plant systems and equipment are achieved. This Position will Perform Preventive Maintenance Work, Inspections and Unplanned repairs in accordance with established internal safety procedures/protocols, OSHA standards, GMP's, FDA regulations and industry best practices Provide Training and Coaching to Grade II technicians to help them progress in Grade and Job capabilities.
•  Report to work on time for their scheduled shifts and attendance is within the SMWE Attendance Guidelines, be willing to work assigned shifts at their scheduled locations in Eastern WA
•  Understands and Follows the Hourly Maintenance Employee Expectations Guidelines
•  Follows all SMWE Safety Policies related to their scope of work. Be able to apply these practices during daily operations. Some examples would include: LOTO, Hearing Conservation, elevated work, confined space, hot work, Arc Flash and Safety procedures set by the SMWE Environmental Health and Safety Department.
•  Maintain and keep all required training needed to Perform Job Duties current
•  Attend Provided Training required to Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows regulatory compliance, GMP's, HAACP to Meet Industrial Standards
•  Work Collaboratively with team members of all departments and grades within a team and Goal Oriented Environment.

•  Mechanical ability to install and align motors, gear boxes, pumps, and other mechanical systems without assistance
•  Be able to read blueprints, parts Diagrams, Process Control Diagrams for use in troubleshooting and Machine Repair.
•  Understand the use of Diagnostic Tools such as VOM, AMP Meters and other test equipment needed for preventive maintenance of equipment
•  Familiarity with AC and DC electrical system to include low voltage DC control circuits to 3 phase 480-volt systems
•  Document all work performed and log all hours worked within the CMMS system
•  Has the Ability to look up and stock inventory items within the CMMS System
•  Complete Work assigned in a timely manner to stay within compliance of the weekly and longer-term Maintenance preventative Maintenance Schedule and Work Plans.
•  Follow Preventative Maintenance Plans, Procedures, SOP's, and Scope of work as assigned
•  Be a willing participant in project related discussions intended to increase and enhance overall equipment and production efficiencies across the site.
•  Must document all work in a work order management system (CMMS) with abilities to write work requests, parts request, follow work order directions, complete work orders, and communicate effectively with a maintenance planner and supervisor electronically. Preferred familiarity with JD Edwards Enterprise One.
•  Participate in project related discussions intended to increase and enhance overall equipment and production efficiencies across the site.
•  Performs other duties as assigned by supervision or required by the position. Other duties may require performing tasks of lesser skilled technicians.
•  Actively promotes preventative maintenance strategies to prevent unplanned breakdowns or repairs with team members
•  Repair, maintain and troubleshoot industrial food processing machinery including but not limited to pumps, conveyor systems, Bottle Fillers, stretch wrappers, case erectors, case packers, capsule applicators, and labelers.
•  Ability to perform calculations needed for operation related to volumes, square feet, flow rates, and thermal loads.
•  Welding, fabrication knowledge and experience to include, MIG, TIG, STICK and Gas welding process for stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum, that would include cutting, welding, grinding, fitting
•  Ability to perform pipefitting, soldering, and brazing
•  Trains lesser skilled technicians, guides the maintenance team on best practices and GMP's
•  Able to work collaboratively in a team environment
•  Program/troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC 500, Control Logixs, Devicenet, EthernetIP,
•  Advanced knowledge of Control Logixs, RS networks, and Factory Talk programming software.
•  Working knowledge and experience with VFDs, electrical motors, process controls (PLCs), lighting, Alarm systems, fire systems, intercoms, and network wiring Instrument calibrations
•  Experience/ability to plan layouts and installation of mechanical equipment and safety systems.
•  Able to work with outside contractors to fulfill the facilities mechanical needs
•  Have a proven track record of continuous improvement methodologies, root cause of equipment failure and meantime between failure
