The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the finished goods inventory and maintaining the integrity of Microsoft Navision (our ERP) and its data. This position is responsible to monitor performance and implement programs to improve operational metrics, review and revise Standard Operating Procedures and manage carefully and closely the Company’s third-party warehouse partners.
This role is based in our Novato office. However, due to COVID, we are all currently working remote. Once we feel comfortable opening the office broadly, the expectation is that you will work a hybrid schedule consisting of 2-3 day a week in the office, and the rest from home.
-Monitor and manage overall physical inventory accuracy of finished case goods at our various warehouse locations, monitor physical inventory quantities against inventory quantities reflected in the company enterprise system Navision.
-Research and reconcile any inventory variances between inventory count and Navision, performed on a weekly and monthly basis.
-Work with the Finance Department in ensuring inventory accuracy and alignment across the physical, logical and book inventory levels.
-Review and revise and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures and establish and measure Key Performance Indicators.
-Manage the Company’s relationships with third-party warehouse vendors to ensure service level performance standards are met.
-Monitor and manage post-production rework on finished case goods.
-Work with the various Warehouse Salvage teams to ensure we are capturing all sellable inventory and maintaining an accurate accounting of spoiled inventory.
-Identifying and recommending process changes and/or system enhancements to improve inventory related operational procedures.
-Create and document standard operating procedures.
-Perform special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or relevant experience
-Minimum of two years of experience in a similar inventory-based role
-Knowledge and experience using Enterprise Resource Planning software, specifically Navision a plus.
-Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures
-Highly organized with a relentless attention to detail
-Excellent problem-solving skills
-Strong MS Excel skills
-Good verbal and written communication skills
