Job Description:

Leading national importer/agent of family-owned Italian wineries is seeking an experienced and dynamic manager for an existing multi state regional territory based in Texas. The candidate should have a minimum of 2(two) years of Sales and/or Brand Management experience at the supplier level or extensive experience at the distributor level as either a Portfolio Manager or Sales Manager. They should also have a strong background in Italian wine. The RM’s primary responsibility is to help manage our distributor’s sales goals through proper inventory maintenance, pricing, programming and distribution objectives, as well as leading and supervising the efforts of our distributors’ management and sales teams.

The person must have the following skills/qualities to be successful in this role:

-Pro-active problem solver and clear communicator
-Take ownership and demonstrate accountability to one’s regional success
-Be able to develop strong and positive relationships throughout each of the distributor’s organizations
-Already have/and or be able to develop relationships with key accounts in all markets
-Be an engaging educator and motivator
-Be technology proficient into today’s environment of hyper connectivity
-Have solid computer and software skills including (but not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and various reporting platforms such as Power BI, DI Diver, VIP/iDig
-Be willing to travel and work in all markets as needed

Primary Responsibilities:
-Establish and maintain strong relationships with distributor’s upper level management and ownership
-Manage our distributor’s purchases, inventory, pricing and programming
-Manage our distributor’s sales efforts by producer to reach annual sales objectives
-Monitor and analyze depletions in PowerBI
-Utilize provided budgets to create smart programming to help drive sales
-Implement, track and monitor any special programming created
-Generate and distribute year-to-date reports on a monthly basis for key market distributors and conduct
quarterly review meetings with all distributors
-Organize successful market visits for our producers
-Work with distributor managers and sales reps to develop, maintain and grow key account sales
-Existing relationships with On- and Off-Premise regional chain accounts preferred
-Work independently to cultivate direct business and relationships with key accounts on and off-premise
-Conduct distributor sales meetings as often as possible to ensure brand awareness and understanding
-Participate in our distributor’s trade events as required/needed
