Job Description:

PURPOSE OF JOB: The Maintenance Technician is responsible for production and facility maintenance including production equipment operation, general building maintenance and repair in accordance with preventive maintenance, aesthetics and safety protocols.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

•  Performs maintenance on all cellar and crush equipment

•  Provides PMs on all winery machinery including refrigeration, boiler, bottling line & buildings in general

•  Keeps facilities in good working order

•  Responds to emergency situations

•  Takes weekly water meter readings

•  Helps with testing of storm water

•  Services all rollup doors

•  Fills in for bottling line personnel when necessary

•  Requires certification for forklift operation

•  Creates a safe and respectful work environment following all safety rules and employment policies. Maintain at all times a safe working environment, shares information and works as a team player


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. •  Education – High school education or higher and a proficiency in mathematics required

•  Valid California driver’s license and ability to be insured through our auto insurance carrier

•  Ability to make basic math calculations including but not limited to percentages and ratios

•  Basic English skills, both written and verbal required

•  Ability to work overtime and be available for emergency calls as requested

•  Ability to prioritize work, follow direction and complete tasks in a safe and timely manner

•  Ability to contribute to a positive work environment by communicating and performing according to established standards is require

EQUIPMENT USED: Forklifts, welders, power tools, utility carts

FOOD SAFETY: Each person is responsible for upholding all the provisions within our Quality policy and meeting all regulatory and statutory requirements relevant to their induvial role. In the absence of this role the person that this role reports to shall be responsible for ensuring all food safety requirements relative to this role are met.
