Job Description:

The Wine Club Manager is responsible for promoting sales through direct-to-consumer channels, including inbound and outbound calls, e-mails, texts, and order processing from virtual channels. The Club Manager is to connect with Members on a personal level. The primary emphasis of this job is to promote sales through the development and implementation of strategies and campaigns to ensure the achievement of sales objectives. This is an hourly full-time position requiring the ability to work weekends and holidays, as well as the flexibility to meet business needs.

Essential Functions:
- Develop relationships with customers to ensure seamless transactions.
- Maintain Wine Club levels through careful, strategic planning to meet both monthly and annual goals.
- Assist with the implementation and management of the employee incentive program.
- Manage ALL aspects of spring and fall wine club allocations; including processing, packing, and shipping.
- Process online, in-store, and telephone orders including packing and shipping.
- Accurately maintain and regularly update member information, preferences, credit cards, bounced e-mails, and any additional changes.
- Manage customer entry, changes of account information, customer purchase entry, wine club cancellations, and special customer requests.
- Complete detailed reports primarily in Excel to track sales, tasters, referrals, etc.
- Assist with maintaining product updates in VinNow our current POS system.
- Help manage and maintain our current reservation system.
- Help with the production of a dynamic and vibrant Wine Club newsletter, both print and e-mail, brochures, and correspondence.
- Participate in Tasting Room Operations including opening and closing, and keeping wine stocked.
- Provide guests with a knowledgeable and enjoyable experience while educating guests on the Mitchella Brand.
- Perform various housekeeping duties to maintain the cleanliness of all facilities.
- Occasionally represent Mitchella at offsite pouring events.
- Maintain and update wine inventory.
- Assist with website maintenance for wine clubs, events, and products.
- Assist with social networking.
- Assist with holiday offers and sales strategies for those offers.
- Conduct pre-holiday corporate gift-giving campaigns to build sales.
- Stay current with out-of-state wine shipping requirements.
- Maintain Direct-Shipping reports as required.
- Acquire and maintain a thorough knowledge of Mitchella and its wines.
- Assist with special projects, promotions, and other responsibilities as assigned.

Education/Experience/Skills:
- At least 2 years of experience in the wine industry that includes sales and customer service.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Passionate about sales and customer relationship marketing.
- Highly accurate, detail-oriented, with strong time management skills.
- Self-motivated and willing to assume additional responsibilities.
- Creative ability to spread the brand strategy through communication and presentation of events.
- Perform well under deadlines with a high degree of accuracy.
- Ability to represent our Mitchella with professionalism when dealing with guests or vendors.
- Ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft products, especially Excel, and Google. Must be web-savvy.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 45 lbs.
- Reaching, grasping, bending, twisting, and lifting items up to 45 lbs.
- Employee is occasionally required to climb and balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time when necessary.
- Must be 21 years of age or older and possess a valid California Driver’s License.
- Must acquire a Food Safe Server Certificate and Responsible Beverage Service Certificate.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as well as flexibility in scheduling to meet business needs.
