MICHAEL SHAPS WINEWORKS, SHENANDOAH VINEYARDS & MAISON SHAPS
This position is multi-faceted, with responsibilities crossing between Direct to Consumer marketing and Wholesale Distribution marketing support. The main focus of the marketing manager will be to educate, advertise and promote the different brands we produce and represent, by integrating various marketing tools.
Education - Create marketing materials for the tasting room staff, consumers and our wholesale sales teams. Hands-on educational activities required at all levels to help promote the different brands we produce and import.
PR & Social Media - Develop and manage a consistent message through social media outlets, newsletters and existing web sites. Communicate with our sales partners the latest news and releases coming from all three wineries.
Event Planning - Schedule and coordinate with the tasting room management team, in-house wine related events at all three tasting room venues. Schedule external events with distributors at wine shops and restaurants.
This is a full-time, salaried position with company benefits. It would require work on some weekends and travel, which may include overnight stays.
- Undergraduate degree preferably business or marketing
- Minimum 3 years experience in the wine industry, winery, retail or restaurant service
- Level 2 minimum WSET or an equivalent level of wine knowledge
- Experience in Social media marketing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
