The Senior Accountant is responsible for a company’s financial procedures, records and statements for compliance with laws and regulations. Should recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue. Needs to analyze financial statements for proper GAAP presentation and disclose any discrepancies. Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
Cash-Bank statement reconciliation
Cash – Pull weekly distributor ACH payments and record collections
Cash – Maintain proper balances in the bill.com clearing and undeposited funds accounts.
Taproom – Record daily sales receipts and inventory depletions.
Maintain the working Cash Flow/Forecasting Sheet.
A/R – Enter customer PO’s (sales orders) to cash flow, enter Sales Orders into QuickBooks, match sales orders to BOLs and send out invoices.
A/R – Collect and receive payments into QuickBooks and match to the deposits.
A/R – Maintain a proper A/R Aging.
Inventory – Costing
o Receive dry goods, ingredients, and bulk juice purchases through A/P.
o Record inventory movement through the production work order process.
o Record assembly builds for canned and kegged finished goods.
Inventory – Maintain the accuracy of the item list quantities and values and reconcile to the G/L per the production inventory tracking reports in Vintrace.
Inventory – Maintaining the item list in Square for the taproom, including entering new items and discounts and updating pricing.
Inventory – Taproom merchandise and cider transfers and weekly inventory balance reconciliation.
P,P&E – maintain the Construction in Progress (CIP) schedule for recording assets build prior to service.
P,P&E – record in service assets into the FAS system and maintain proper asset lives and the multiple tax books. A/P - Accounts Payable entries in Bill.com and scheduling weekly check runs and off cycle bill payments.
A/P – enter PO’s and match bills to PO’s and maintain proper A/P Aging.
Credit Card – Collect cardholder receipts, enter charges, and reconcile to the bank statements.
Accrued Expenses – Record and maintain proper monthly accrued expenses and accrued account balances.
Debt – Properly record principle and interest payments and reconcile account balances to the bank statements.
Monthly budget preparation and meetings with department heads.
Payroll – Enter bi-weekly payroll journals, including health insurance deductions, workers’ comp accrual, 401k employee deductions, and recognizing taproom tips earned.
Month End Close – Ensure the integrity of the trial balance by maintaining proper balance sheet account reconciliations.
Create and maintain monthly budget balance sheet and account reconciliation

Knowledge of Accounting principles and practices
Strong QuickBooks Experience
Strong working knowledge of inventory management and ability to set up operational processes for accurate inventory accounting
Ability to multitask, meet deadlines and be a team player
B.S. degree in Business, preferably Accounting or Finance
5+ Years in full cycle Accounting, preferably in the beverage industry
