Saffron Fields Vineyard is looking for a reliable and engaging Tasting Room Associate. We are a small vineyard focusing on premium Estate Pinot Noirs and Chardonnay. The tasting room features an inspired, earth-friendly design, serene Japanese gardens and reflective ponds and a world-class modern art collection.

The Ideal candidate will have a mix of attributes that allow them to effectively and graciously sell our brand. This is a part to full time, seasonally dependent position. The ideal candidate may have the opportunity to increase hours and responsibilities based on job performance and availability.
Specifics:
Ensure an inviting and pleasant tasting experience for all guests
Maintain high standards to ensure a pleasant and professional environment with grace and sincerity
Model exceptional customer service by providing knowledgeable, consistent and courteous responses to guest needs, questions, complaints or problems. Ensure all problems are brought to managers attention to be resolved to customer satisfaction.
Clearly articulate the wines, the property, and the winery history
Lead guests through tastings and help assist guests in making purchasing decisions.
Effectively suggest and sell wine
Basic preparation of small plates
Handle routine purchasing transactions and assist DTC manager with shipping duties
Maintain an efficient and clean work environment. Housekeeping duties include: washing and polishing dishes and stemware, stocking inventory, tidying tasting room, cleaning kitchen, sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning restrooms and taking out garbage/recycling.
Supports and reinforces the standards expected of the team and the brand
Provide general tourist information and assist guests as local concierge services
Assist with hospitality special events
Other duties as assigned
Experience:
While Prior Tasting Room experience is preferred, prior experience in sales and or hospitality is essential
Must be 21 years of age
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Passion and well-rounded knowledge of wine, pinot noir and the industry
Ability to multi-task and follow through with tasks and responsibilities
Motivated with an ability to solve problems and improvise with necessary
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Computer and POS proficiency
Willing to work most weekends and some holidays
Capable of standing, walking, and talking for lengthy periods of time
Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions
Demonstrated people skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Able to lift items up to 50lbs
Must possess or have the ability to acquire OLCC Service Permit
