Lewis Cellars is a small, family-run winery located in the heart of the Napa Valley. We produce world-class Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Chardonnay and are seeking a motivated individual with a strong work ethic to join us for the 2020 grape harvest. This position includes but is not limited to:
-Collecting vineyard samples throughout many pristine Napa Valley sites
-Processing those samples and relaying ripeness information to the winemaking team
-A broad array of cellar activities including but not limited to: preparing equipment to process fruit, pressing both red and white grapes, additions/inoculations, pumpovers, barreling down, and racking.
-Being part of a world-class production team
Harvest is the most challenging part of the year, but it is also the most fun and rewarding. The production team at Lewis Cellars is a small, tight-knit group which holds in common a heartfelt commitment to quality. We strive to produce the most exceptional wines imaginable. If you want to be a part of producing something great, then this is the position for you. Aside from ensuring the highest quality is met, the winemaking team is sincerely dedicated to promoting learning and collaboration among the harvest interns. You will learn more about making wine during your three month stint at Lewis Cellars than you would have learned in all your previous wine experiences.
This opportunity runs roughly from September to the end of November, 2020. Pay is dependent upon experience. Our winery is located ten minutes north from the town of Napa and is easily accessible by car, foot or bicycle.
