Job Description:

Wheeler Farms is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art winemaking facility designed in such a way that employees can execute technical and precise winemaking practices with ease resulting in a more fluid, efficient, and calm work environment.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals who are interested in working at a high-tech facility making ultra-premium wines. Our cellar is home-base to several of Napa Valley’s top wine producers, allowing the chance to learn from many of Napa’s most talented winemakers. At Wheeler Farms, our main focus is to provide support to our client winemakers, and to give the utmost care to all wine made in our facility. This includes a small amount of wine made by the production team under the Wheeler Farms Wine label.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Grape receival and processing
Fermentation monitoring
Monitoring automated pump overs
Keeping cellar/barrel rooms clean and organized
Barrel filling
Sensory analysis
Making great wine!

The position is scheduled to start September 2nd and run through the end of November.

The applicant needs to be comfortable working autonomously, and in groups. They should have a genuine desire to learn more about making wine at an ultra-premium level. They need to be prepared to work long hours in wet conditions during the peak of harvest.

Previous cellar/harvest experience is preferred. All applicants must be 21 years of age, have the ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and must be available to work 7 days/week during the peak of harvest.
