Job Description:

This position is responsible for communicating and executing our focused brands within key strategic accounts within Northern California. This resource will work dually within both the Epic Wine & Spirits Merchandizing and Foley Family Wines Sales teams, to promote supplier brands in top retail outlets. Candidates must have strong existing wine knowledge and the desire and ability to develop comprehensive supplier portfolio and category wine expertise. This role will be responsible for completing 12-15 monthly tastings focusing in Top 50 Epic Retail Chain accounts to build brand awareness, increase sales, and drive trial.


Chain / Distributor Retail Activation
•  Chain Tasting Events (At least 1x per account/month)
•  Concierge / Wine Steward Meetings Weekly
•  Market Work w/ Epic Merch Teams Monthly
•  Meet monthly to align schedule w/ distributor on all Chain sampling targeting 1month out
•  Must have schedule flexibility in order to align with retailer event programming

Distributor / Chain Education
•  Schedule DSD & Merch Wine Training to present & sample Focus Brands / Top Priorities
•  Meet with Distributor Merch Team(s) during their territory meetings
•  Coordinate with Distributor AE to schedule quarterly trainings for Wine Stewards/Concierge at Epic and Off-Site locations

•  Manage a Travel & Expense Budget
•  Develop 1-page sell sheets for Tastings & Consumer Engagement with Chains and Distributor
•  Visit Distributor Warehouse monthly to track and maximize POS Inventory
•  Complete Retail Surveys and provide Recaps with effective follow ups


•  Bachelor’s Degree
•  Valid Driver’s license
•  Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, & PowerPoint
•  Sales / Chain experience including developing relationships, creating custom programs, and successfully executing at retail is preferred
•  Preferably has experience working for distributor and/or supplier/importer
•  Knowledge and passion for the wine or alcohol beverage industry a plus


•  Must reside in Bay Area and have the ability to work across the retailer geography
•  Must demonstrate initiative and ability to self-direct projects
•  Excellent oral and written communication
•  Ability to develop strong relationships and influence retailer to support incremental displays and merchandizing ideas in store
•  Ability to sell concepts and ideas to key decision makers for both the distributor and retailer
•  Demonstrate proactive approach in scheduling tastings 1 month out with Distributor Account Executive and Store Personnel
•  Align w/ influential Winemakers throughout the year to engage and support Pavilions 2.0 for Grand Openings
•  Ability to comfortably lift and move wine averaging 40lbs per case
