Job Description:

Position Summary
The Estate Director position is responsible for the development, implementation and management of the luxury brand experience at Cuvaison Estate Wines. The experience integrates and enhances brand-building activities across the Tasting Room, Wine Club, Events and online communities including e-commerce, social media and digital advertising. This key role reports directly to the President/CEO and will work in close cooperation with Brand Marketing and oversee all DtC and Social Media staff to develop, validate and execute new experiences as well as outreach marketing. This role will also play an integral part in working with designers and architects in developing the new renovations and infrastructure for the updated facilities, including review of a new operation for our Napa Mountain Cabernet brand.
•  Lead the front of the house team in driving and achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue, profitability, membership conversion and guest experience goals
•  Lead the activities of the team to achieve DtC priorities: Increase revenue, club conversion and retention, and trade guest experiences
•  Tracks sales performance, profit margins and KPI’s to ensure department is tracking to goals and develop corrective action for any gaps
•  Works with the CEO and outside architecture firms to develop and implement the expansion projects for the tasting room and guest experiences
•  Assist in marketing and execution of outreach and brand representation activities
•  Evaluate staff’s wine knowledge and ability to communicate brand story and oversee the training and voice consistency to the consumer experience
•  Provide appropriate direction, leadership, management, motivation, coaching and mentoring of all direct reports and staff, including employee performance optimization, recruiting and training to achieve the desired vision and culture
•  Oversee social media channels, posting and content calendar in coordination with brand marketing standards and collaboration
•  Serve as winery’s customer relations ambassador and leadership in guest hospitality
•  Participate in and contribute to strategic and tactical business planning, budgeting and monthly variance analysis with corrective action development and execution
•  Execute compelling luxury brand building events to further engage and solidify relationships with club members, new customers, media and trade visitors

•  Hospitality and wine educator staff
•  Digital Marketing Coordinator (in cooperation with the Brand Marketing Director)

•  Five+ years DtC management experience
•  Ability to set the example for tastings and experiences, both trade and consumer
•  Ability to read and evaluate financial statements and department P&L
•  Proven ability to motivate team, create a positive working culture and work with cross functional teams within company
•  Experience in use of winery or restaurant point-of-sales systems
•  Advanced wine knowledge with CSW certification, WSET Advanced or equivalent certification with demonstrated ability to educate others is a plus
•  Exposure to and understanding of luxury consumer products and hospitality experiences
•  Budgeting and sales forecasting / analysis experience
•  Experience with social media and DtC Marketing
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Experience in Microsoft word including PowerPoint and Excel
•  Organized with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
•  Proven ability to effectively train, manage, and lead staff
•  Possess valid driver’s license and lift up to 50 lbs.
