Tasting Room Co- Manager, Sacramento area winery.

In conjunction with the current Tasting Room Co-Manager, this position is responsible for the total customer experience in our Tasting Room, delivering on the sales and club acquisition goals while providing best-in-class service in a high volume, customer centric environment. This is a Part-Time position. Wine Club experience necessary.

The Assistant Tasting Room Manager will assist the current Tasting Room Co-Manager with leadership in the following areas:
•  Managing and Coordinating all Friday-Sunday tasting room functions, including guest services, tasting room events, tours and weddings
•  Driving sales and club acquisition for tasting room and tours
•  Remained focused on the customer experience
•  Understanding the POS system so troubleshooting when problems arise
•  Assembling a high performing staff and providing the training and motivation required to drive success
•  Setting high standards and holding staff accountable to those standards
•  Collaborating and working well within the overall team
•  Developing and building partnerships within the company, including Hospitality, Direct Sales, Marketing, Winemaking/Production and Accounting, as well as the community
•  Identifying successful strategies and developing and implementing tactical plans in order to impact change when needed
•  Understanding and identifying with sales reporting
•  Acts as manager-on-duty when Tasting Room Manager is not present
•  Reporting to this position: Part-time tasting room staff

•  Promote membership in wine club as applicable
•  Greet all guests promptly and graciously and provide knowledgeable, consistent and courteous responses to questions, complaints and/or problems. Insure that all problems are resolved to the customer's satisfaction. Refer to management as appropriate
•  Fulfill customer orders and use POS/Ipad to complete sales. Properly operate POS/Ipads and accurately follow transaction procedures
•  Assist guests with transporting purchases to their vehicle or arrange for pick-up, shipment or delivery, when needed
•  Insure that merchandise displays and tasting bar are kept in immaculate condition
•  Setup tasting bar with necessary supplies. Wash tasting glasses and assist with other cleanup as needed
•  Make sure marketing flyers are placed throughout the winery to promote upcoming events, wine releases, etc
•  Record tasting wines used. Make sure empty bottles are put in appropriate holding area
•  Assist in training and orientation for new and/or on-call staff

•  Must be able to frequently lift and carry weights of up to 40 pounds at varying frequencies
•  Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the performance of various tasks
•  Ability to stand for long periods of time

•  Wage commensurate with experience
