Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist

Summary:
The Social Media and Digital Marketing Specialist creates and manages the social media presence for the Ca’ Momi brands. This role will help be responsible for the “voice” for our brands. This Social Media Specialist interfaces regularly with all levels of Marketing (and sometimes sales!): including our Chief Evolutionary Officer, Chief Experience Officer, Creative Manager, Marketing Manager and Events Ambassador. This is a busy job but also a fun one – perfect for someone with creativity, enthusiasm and style.

While social media is probably the lion’s share of this role, the Digital Marketing aspect will be just as important. They will oversee our website and online retail pages, email marketing and newsletter content, wine club communication support, and assist with maintenance and PR for our brands and those of our clients.

Attention to detail and a strongly cultivated sense of who we are is critical in this role. (It really helps if you love wine and food and understand and advocate for those cultures!)

Classification: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: CEO/CXO (Will also report on projects to Creative Manager & Marketing Manager)
Compensation: DOE; comes with full suite of benefits, most beginning 1st of the month after hire

Essential Duties:
•  SOCIAL MEDIA (60%)
o Create and rollout annual social media calendar highlighting brand, new releases, special events, etc.;
o Work closely with Creative Manager, Brand Manager and Marketing Manager on content or digital content/support;
o Incorporate a wide-range of media including photography, copywriting, and other design work to support brands and the creation of marketing materials;
o Create all social media posts and ensure strict adherence to brand ideology (both company and client) and themes, and align all to be in direct support of current campaigns
and standards;
o Work in tandem with marketing team (CXO, etc.) to author and publish reviews and respond to social media posts (Yelp, Google, Trip Advisor, etc.);
o Work with Creative Manager to grow presence and manage content on social media channels (YouTube, Instagram, FB, Twitter, etc.);
o Understand current trends and remain up-to-date on news and information across the wine industry;
•  DIGITAL MARKETING (30%)
o Organize, publish and update all digital content resources for our brands;
o Creates (with Creative Manager) newsletters, both internal and external;
o Work with Events Specialist to highlight and promote current events and promotions;
o Create, maintain and/or update retail pages on company/client websites and develop and manage website/website hosting for controlled brands as contracted/required;
o Design and send DTC communications (re. email, newsletters, promotions, etc.);
o Work with wine club management to grow membership via digital outreach, special promotions, etc.;
o Oversee database of wine accolades and awards;
o Collect and track data relating to advertising and marketing campaigns;
o Evaluate and analyze social media and digital campaigns and report to CXO and Marketing teams on efficacy of same;
•  OTHER (10%)
o Suggest corrective modifications of digital/social media presence as appropriate;
o May review press releases or articles set for targeted media outlets;
o May photo document and/or represent Company in person at local, regional, national industry trade shows, events and opportunities;
o Attend Marketing team meetings.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Every employee of Ca’ Momi is expected to act as a team member. When personnel need assistance, all employees are expected to offer and provide such assistance according to their skills, abilities, and availability.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
•  Produce visual and written work of the highest quality and attention to detail;
•  Bachelor’s degree in the marketing, humanities, or business administration with an emphasis in marketing preferred (but not required)
•  Experience in corporate marketing; winery marketing not required but a huge plus
•  Proven use/solid experience with Google Analytics
•  Strong experience and ability with graphic design software including Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Image Read, and Adobe Dreamweaver;
•  Exemplary oral and written communication skills;
•  Ability to identify and cultivate new avenues for brand enrichment and create programming to reach diverse audiences;
•  Ability to function in highly stressful and demanding environment and under strict deadlines;
•  Ability to communicate regularly, effectively and supportively with stakeholders (internal and external);
•  Ability to project manage and work with or without supervision;
•  Ability to develop concepts into executable ideas/campaigns in support of our brands;
•  Proficiency in MS Office; ability to work in both Mac and PC environments a plus;
•  Familiarity with project management software/tools (Asana, Basecamp, Google Docs, etc.);
•  Be able to report out regularly to senior staff on progress or pitch ideas;
•  Ability to sit, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, lift, twist, kneel, crouch, crawl, pull, push, carry, grasp, reach and stoop as needed, sometimes for extended periods (up to 8 or more hours per day);
•  Must be able to see and see color (for color matching and other esthetic/visual measurements);
•  Must be fully fluent in English; fluency or ability in Spanish a plus.
