Job Description:

SUMMARY: Responsible for purchasing of all dry goods, operational supplies and services for the entire operations including cellar, winemaking and bottling as well as administrative departments as needed.

•  Maintain the highest level of customer service with suppliers, customers, co-workers and guests
•  Collect purchase requisitions from all departments, issue purchase orders and follow through with vendors
•  Plan purchases of dry goods and wine making supplies per schedules and forecasts
•  Support AP and inventory control staff with reconciling discrepancies with purchased items
•  Monitor stock levels at the suppliers and plan replenishment or releasing them as needed
•  Track dry goods as well as wine making supplies to ensure inventory is maintained at adequate supply levels based on production schedules and forecasts
•  Support all departments in finding most efficient vendor considering quality, lead time and cost
•  Purchase non-stock items including MRO according to the purchase requisitions and company policies
•  Source vendors for required goods and services with the goal of obtaining required quality, best price and timely delivery
•  Follow up and resolve discrepancies in receiving process
•  Prepare and submit dry goods and case goods inventory reports as needed
•  Support Sales and Marketing initiatives, supplies, and special projects
•  Assist with departmental initiatives, new projects, tailgate safety meetings and functions
•  Perform various other duties and participate in special projects as assigned by the supervisor or manager within the physical constraints of the job

•  Associates degree (AA), two to four years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
•  Strong knowledge of local and national MRO supplies vendors
•  Experience with overseas vendors and imports process
•  Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•  Extremely proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook software
•  Strong interpersonal skills
•  Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
•  Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
•  Commitment to excellence and high standards
•  Strong organizational skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
•  Keystrokes a minimum of 45 wpm
•  Versatility, flexibility and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
•  Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
•  Bilingual skills; a plus
•  Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL is a plus

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to do the following:
•  Sit for prolonged periods
•  Perform some repetitive motion activities
•  Coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
•  Lift, move and stack boxes up to 30 lbs

•  Work is mainly performed in a normal office environment
