Harvest Cellar Interns

Job Description:

We are a small 5000 case (35 acre estate) family owned and operated winery located in the Petaluma Gap of Sonoma County. We specialize in Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Chenin Blanc. The styles we produce are a white, red, rosé, pet-nat, and port. We are currently looking for 2-3 harvest interns who will be able to help out in both the vineyard and the cellar. We are seeking motivated individuals, preferably with some cellar or lab experience, or students that are currently studying viticulture, enology, or a related field. There may be a possibility to be hired on full-time post harvest.

Time Frame: Mid-August to Late-November (exact dates will be specified at a later time)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
•  Berry Sampling
•  Grape Processing/Sorting
•  Fermentation control
•  Punch Downs and Pump Overs
•  Barrel Preparation/Filling
•  Cleaning/Sanitation of tanks and winery equipment
•  Basic Lab Analyses
•  Wine additions
•  Operating the press

Essential Requirements of the Job:
•  A passion for winemaking
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
•  Ability to stand, walk, bend, or stoop for an extended period of time
•  Ability to climb ladders
•  Availability to work long hours and weekends when necessary
•  Forklift experience is a plus

Unfortunately, due to our small capacity, we are unable to sponsor visas at this time. We do not provide accommodation/transportation so you must have a reliable way of getting to and from the winery.
