We are seeking an experienced Cellar Worker to join our team. This is a year round full-time position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under limited supervision performs various work assignments to include: racking, pumping, clarifying and blending of juice and wine.
Responsible for sanitation and cleanliness in all areas of cellar operations.
Sterilizes casks, tanks and other equipment.
During crush, operates crusher and presses, move hoses and equipment, obtain lab samples, weigh trucks,dispose of lees and clean equipment.
Setup, adjustment and operation of cellar equipment
Maintains equipment, cooperage, and tanks in assigned area of responsibility
Estimates, requisitions, and inspects cellar supplies as assigned
Help ensure wine quality is maintained by cellar team
Other cellar or bottling duties may be assigned at any time
Follow safety regulations at all times
Skills and Experience:
At least two years Cellar experience preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
