Job Description:

We are a dynamic family-owned and operated winery in the heart of Napa Valley (Rutherford AVA). We are seeking enthusiastic, hard-working wine educators for both full and part time positions. Our charming tasting room comes with a unique history, where we offer a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests. Known for producing delicious, premium, small-lot wines, our ultimate goal is to give visitors a truly remarkable and memorable experience. We do accept walk-in visitors, but we do not have a tasting bar. All guests are seated and hosted on an individual group basis to give both the guest and the host the best experience possible.
The right candidate for this role will possess a love and understanding of wine, food and all things Napa Valley. Additionally, a keen awareness of team spirit, attention to detail and a willingness to learn are important. Comfortability with technology is key. Prior restaurant experience is not necessary but is certainly a bonus. We are seeking a wine tasting professional with a proven track record of success in sales and wine club conversion. However, if you are new to the industry, we are absolutely willing to train great candidates. If you consider yourself outgoing and friendly, and have a genuine passion for wine and white-glove customer service, we would love to speak with you. Also, this position could be turned into a full time position per business demand.

Key Responsibilities:
•  Deliver a warm, gracious, friendly experience to guests at every interaction point
•  Engage with each customer to identify and tailor the experience to their interests
•  Promote the brand story
•  Provide excellent, personalized customer service to deliver a memorable experience
•  Ability to ask for the sale
•  Communicate benefits of wine club membership and sign up new members
•  Build and maintain lasting relationships with guests and members
•  Operate POS system and reservations system (WineDirect & Tock)
•  Prepare the tasting room for opening and closing daily
•  Outreach and networking with local partners to drive tasting room traffic as needed

Qualifications Include:
•  Experience promoting a genuine, friendly, caring, and high- quality hospitality experience
•  Knowledge, understanding and sensitivity about how to deliver excellent customer service
•  Able and willing to work weekends and holidays; some evenings required
•  Effective communicator with a professional and welcoming manner
•  Passionate about wine and food and motivated to continue to learn
•  Pitching in and taking initiative. Ability to multi-task
•  Able to work in fast paced environment
•  Efficiency in hosting multiple groups at the same time
•  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time
