Our organization is looking for a Collections Specialist who has previous experience in the field of liquor authority rules and regulations which can help us achieve our financial goals. As a Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for the collection of outstanding accounts receivable dollars from the existing client base. Daily work flow will include (but is not limited to) negotiating payment arrangements, answering inbound and outbound calls, written email correspondence and the direct management of a collections team within the department, must exhibit professionalism and trustworthiness. You should have excellent communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work independently. RESPONSIBILITIES Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts. Resolve inbound phone calls and making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving customer relations. Resolve client-billing problems and rescue accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner. Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates. Solve problems quickly and create resolutions that bring in revenue on a regular basis. Negotiate payment arrangements to prevent non-pay cancellation. Maintain or exceed monthly delinquency targets. With accuracy, provide billing adjustments based on in-depth research of issues. Ensure timely and accurate update of credit card and other payment information to the customer’s account. Remain up to date on all marketing, product, and support tools while actively seeking to improve the customer’s experience. Miscellaneous projects and duties, as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS The ideal candidate for this position will have a minimum of seven years of collections and/or customer care or sales experience including interaction with a customer base. Effective communication, problem solving, and analytical skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Access. Must have attention to detail with an eye for accuracy. Creative, self-disciplined, and capable of identifying and completing critical tasks independently and with a sense of urgency. Must exhibit excellent professional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a wide range of people. A quick and flexible learner with a motivated and positive work ethic. Ability to receive feedback and apply coaching. A polite, friendly, and diplomatic manner. Regularly opens, reviews, prepares, and organizes paperwork and online documents. Ability to pass credit and background check. A committed and flexible attitude to the job. Must be focused and reliable, and have the proven ability to self-manage in an autonomous work environment.
