Iris Vineyards & Winery, located in the beautiful Willamette Valley, is currently searching for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the West Coast Territories!
JOB TITLE: Regional Sales Manager (West Coast)
Responsible for managing existing distributor network and relationships, while pursuing new sales, markets, and opportunities. Responsible for the annual unit, dollar and gross profit plans for wholesale and distribution. Responsible for growing overall unit and dollar volume as well as the wholesale and retail distribution network. This position requires strong sales skills and interpersonal dexterity to manage brand performance. The Regional Sales Manager works closely with and reports to the General Manager. The Western Regional Sales Manager will ideally work from the Winery located in the Southern end of the Willamette Valley, Cottage Grove, Oregon but will consider a West Coast home office location that will travel extensively within the Western region.

Successfully collaborate with management. Ability to work independently. Willingness to call on small and mid-sized chains and other key on and off premise account buyers to build points of distribution for distributor partners, Effective time management and ability to complete tasks while traveling. Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories. Projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans. Increase overall sales volume by growing points of distribution, product mix and profit by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators and competitors. Work with existing distributor networks and identify new distributor opportunities to ensure best representation and support by market. Develop initiatives and pursue new business development opportunities for on and off premise distribution. Travel in support of distribution. Participate and represent the brand at industry events and tradeshows.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time (trade shows/events) and sit for long periods of time (travel). Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must adhere to all policies and procedures of the company, including safety procedures. Frequent driving and travel. Hand delivering of case goods.
Minimum 5 years wine industry experience required. Demonstrated ability in sales and distribution management. Demonstrated knowledge and experience within the distribution tier. Wine knowledge. Strong negotiation skills. Ability to interpret financial and operational data into operational plan and work independently. Must be willing to travel frequently by plane, train, and automobile. Must possess initiative, integrity and business professionalism. Read, write, and speak English fluently. Valid driver license with acceptable driving record. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, customers, vendors and team members. Must pass criminal background check.
