Location: Carmel Valley & Marina, CA
Position: Direct to Consumer Sales Manager
Reports to: Winemaker/Operations Manager
Estimated Hours per week: 40-50
This is a full time, leadership position that oversees Cima Collina’s direct to consumer sales channels: Tasting Room, Wine Club, and Website/Shipping. Requires general wine knowledge, ability to update and manage the Wine Direct point of sale platform, management of tasting room staff, & ability to sell & promote wine and brand.
Tasting Room and Retail Management
?Manage the Tasting Room work schedule and personnel
-Hire & onboard staff when required
-Work to provide staff with systems training as well as salesmanship
-Set sales targets and calendar of communications and promotion to move the business forward.
-Work with Marketing on outreach programs and advertising for to build business
-Drive business through outreach to local hospitality and industry
Wine Club Management
• Work with Tasting Room staff to build and retain club membership
• Create 2 Wine Club Pick up events per year and 2 other club only events per year
• Process and oversee wine club shipments, (twice per year.)
-Work with marketing and wine releases to create monthly eblasts and promotions to drive business
- Manage the outbound shipping of wine. Work with Operations on out of state compliance.
-Maintain and expand knowledge of wine, wine making and the winery by participating in educational opportunities
-Understand and practice responsible hospitality including knowledge of legal parameters and liabilities for the winery and individual serving alcoholic beverages
Must be able to taste wines daily
Must be at least 21 yrs old
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Wine background or hospitality experience preferred
