Job Summary:
The District Manager is responsible for managing all on/off premise activities and programming within his/her designated accounts & distributors to ensure maximum market penetration, brand awareness and sell-through in Ohio (specifically Columbus/Cleveland/Cincinnati). The candidate is expected to present / sell merchandising, shelf programs, and brand initiatives to his/her assigned distributor sales team that will increase distribution and achieve Foley Family Wines (FFW) objectives. This position is responsible for managing all sales within an assigned territory in order to continue to grow FFW’s portfolio of prestigious brands.

**Ideal candidate would reside in Columbus area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Responsibility includes 80% focus on selling new products and/or upgrading the number of product lines in on/off premise accounts. (4 days a week in field, split with distributor work with and individual account calls)
•  Responsibility includes 20% focus on distributor management and gaining share of mind with the distributor collaboration with distributor partners to execute sales goals
•  Recommends and executes effective programs to increase sales in assigned area
•  Assists with distributor program execution and evaluation (1 day a week at Distributor)
•  Majority focus of On-Premise and Indy-Retail accounts
•  Provides exceptional customer service to accounts, facilitating orders, holding tastings, events, promotional activities and wait staff education where legal
•  Calls on approximately 5-8 accounts per day (total 100 accounts)
•  Develops relationships with key accounts in assigned territory to ensure awareness of brand portfolio
•  Provides training and education to Distributor Sales Teams
•  Keeps abreast of new competitive developments and provides feedback to Sales and Marketing teams
•  Completes accurate and timely reports
•  Proactively communicates information with customers, distributors and managers
•  Operates within assigned budgetary parameters
•  Develop strong relationships with Key Distributor Key Account Managers and Sales Reps

Education & Experience:
•  3-5 years of experience in the wine/spirits industry, preferably with experience working the Columbus/Cleveland/Cincinnati markets
•  Strong experience with on-premise fine dining
•  Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
•  Valid Driver’s License

Knowledge, Skills & Other Abilities:
•  Must have a strong understanding of the Fine Wine / Luxury Wine Category
•  Excellent communication, presentation and organization skills is required
•  IT proficiency including strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based computing is required
•  Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently
•  Must excel in problem solving and data analysis
•  Ability to work collaboratively internally and external to the organization is required
•  Must possess strong negotiation and selling skills
•  Possession of a valid driver’s license is required

Physical Requirements:
•  Must have ability to travel weekly, up to 70% average, with periodic weekend work
•  Must be able to lift boxes 40+ lbs
