Carte Du Vin is a wine cellar management/consulting business that deals with private wine collections and commercial clients. Based in Van Nuys, the company spends the majority of its time in Southern California, but there is also project work servicing clients in locations across the country. Services the company provides include wine inventory, organizing cellars, appraising/inspecting wine collections for sale and estate purposes, wine relocation/logistics services, and wine storage.
This position involves a wide range of responsibilities and opportunities. Position is responsible for day to day office management, visits to client location (car required), creating and maintaining wine cellar inventories (using CellarTracker), packing wine collections and coordinating large scale cellar moves, advising on the sale and purchase of wines, and managing shipment and/or delivery of client's wines when needed.
Applicant must be highly responsible, discreet, driven, have excellent communication skills, be sales-oriented, and self-motivated with a passion for the wine industry and an eye for detail. Computer skills, specifically Excel, a must.
This can be a very physical job and employees are required to be “hands on” and able to lift and carry cases of wine, and know--or be willing to learn--how to operate a forklift. General wine knowledge is preferred and experience in the wine business is highly suggested.
