Madrigal Family Winery is a small family owned winery located in the Calistoga AVA, Napa Valley. We are producing premium, small-lot wines from our estate vineyard. We are seeking a part-time team member to add to our family. This a part-time position with room for future growth. Position consists of a minimum three day, 24 hours per week schedule. Including weekends and holidays. Please do not apply if you are unable to fully commit to weekend hours.
Many hats are worn when you work for a small winery. We are looking for someone that can multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.
Prepare tasting room for guests
Deliver top-notch customer service to all guests and club members
Provide, excellent, personalized tours and tastings
Filling, cleaning and stocking
Demonstrates success in “soft-sell” brand focused retail sales environment
Highly motivated sales individuals who thrive by providing wine knowledge to guests and are able to convert them into a Wine Club member
Proven track-record in selling and up-selling wines, wine club memberships by educating all guests in our wines
Provide superior guest service and experiences through education on the unique qualities of Madrigal Family wines and how they stand out and above others
Be a dynamic team player, working with other sales associates to reach daily, weekly and monthly individual sales goals
Working both behind the bar in the tasting room, as well as, in small or large private groups and on special tours and tastings
Abide by Responsible Beverage Service Standards, ensuring the safety of our guests
Ability to prioritize with excellent time management skills
Open & close the tasting room
Ability to be flexible to take on additional hours if needed in the tasting room and change schedules to cover shifts when needed
Self-motivated with the ability to proactively address issues with minimal supervision
Achieving and maintaining quality presentation in all public and back of the house areas at all times
Ensure safety and security throughout the tasting room/winery
Be professional and hospitable to all guests and employees
Must be 21 years of age
Self-driven and able to work in a fast paced environment
Tasting room, restaurant, hospitality or wine experience desired
Passionate about food and wine with a desire to continue education
Must be able to lift 45 lbs
