National Sales Manager

Job Description:

We are looking for a driven sales professional who has excellent relationships and enjoys being part of a growing and successful business. The National Sales Manager will manage and lead sales activity both nationally and regionally through effective selling, brand management and relationship building.

RESPONSIBILITES
•  Effectively represent employer in the marketplace
•  Oversee national wholesale pricing to ensure brand standards are within guidelines
•  Maintain established accounts and actively look for new opportunities to expand sales
•  Sell our brands in coordination with national distributors
•  Coordinate market visits with distributor account reps
•  Develop and maintain an organized list of accounts
•  Development & implementation of strategies to achieve territory sales
•  Develops new prospective accounts through cold-calling
•  Develop strong business relationships and become the point person with distributors to align goals and expectations for sales numbers and distribution
•  Utilize Excel reports to analyze trends in sales, report issues and opportunities, and develop strategic business plans
•  Manage expenses for assigned budgets including direct spending
•  Participate in trade and consumer events
•  Office based position with heavy/moderate travel and calling on accounts

QUALIFICATIONS
•  Passion for sales and service
•  Experience/relationships with national retailers
•  Must be capable of opening a new territory using your professional relationships
•  1-3 years of field sales experience including heavily sourcing for new leads and face to face selling in the wine industry
•  Excellent customer service, strong presentation skills, creative problem solving
•  Motivated, self-starter and able to work independently to achieve sales goals
•  Must have business acumen and keen negotiating skills
•  Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to work well with others internally and externally is essential
•  Ability to travel and flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
•  The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree
•  Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
•  Reliable transportation (maintain a valid driver’s license)
