SUMMARY: The California Wholesale Sales Associate is responsible for processing all California direct wholesale orders. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service and a solid emphasis on customer follow-up.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•  Order Processing:
o Receives sales orders via phone, e-mail, text or fax
o Checks orders for correct price, customer number and product codes
o Reviews orders for account holds due to credit limits and/or past due invoices
o Efficient, orderly, and accurate entry of sales orders into NAV system
o Updates NAV as needed for customer shipping/billing/contact information
o Manages all EDI errors to make sure EDI orders process efficiently
o Responsible for non-revenue orders for California wholesale division
•  Sample orders for sales managers
•  Non-revenue shipments to accounts

•  Sales Support
o Communicates and proactively discusses current wines and promotions to customers
o Regularly communicates with customers regarding availability, order status, and ship dates
o Attend CA trade events, tastings and staff trainings as needed
o Maintains accurate customer data in Navision
o Provides superior customer service


QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•  2 years work as a customer service professional with a premium winery (or other premium consumer product).
•  Strong organizational skills required
•  Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately
•  Exceptional oral and written interpersonal communication skills
•  Ability to function independently and make empowered decisions that positively affect the customer’s experience
•  Computer proficiency: MS Navision a plus, Word, Excel, Outlook
