Market Development – Eastern Region

Opportunity:
The opportunity exists to join an exciting young company at a key part of its growth phase. You will work autonomously utilizing your sales drive and contacts in the industry. Representing truly quality driven wines in a category that is under-represented, the opportunities are endless as are the rewards for your efforts. Given the phase the company is in, you will also have a key role in determining the future direction and success.

Responsibilities:
•  Working directly with our distributor sales & management teams, building and implementing creative programming and working together to achieve case and distribution goals for both off and on premise.
•  Identify, develop and monitor key account penetration in each market
•  Develop relationships with key Somms and retail buyers in each market.
•  Manage marketing and expenses within agreed levels
•  Preparing and conducting business reviews with distributor senior management while establishing a strong partnership focused on working together to build sales and category awareness
•  Undertake Education Seminars, Sales Training and Trade Show representation
•  Develop relationships with key distributor sales reps in each market
•  Minimum of three days per week spent working in the market calling on key accounts both with and without the distributor sales team
•  Organize and manage both trade and consumer events when our winemakers are in the market
•  Develop marketing and promotional initiatives to support the brands
•  Meet agreed upon company sales goals
•  Provide feedback and market updates to management on a timely and regular basis
•  Ability to travel to other markets as required; as well as manage relationships remotely with distribution sales force in other States.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years wine experience with excellent wine knowledge of the distribution tier

•  College Degree (preferred)
•  Strong verbal/written communication and presentation skills
•  Possess excellent planning/ organizational skills with the ability to work independently
•  Candidate must be professional, focused, goal-oriented, and demonstrate a high level of integrity
•  Require strong computer skills in CRM, Outlook, Microsoft Office
•  Current valid driver’s license with clean record
•  Ability to lift/carry up to 40 pounds
