We are in need of a person to be a sales representative for our mindfully curated selection of mostly small production, family owned, organic/sustainable focused wines from grower/producers in Italy. Your job would be to service fine wine retail locations and restaurants with food friendly, approachable wines. You would be building relationships with existing accounts while opening and servicing new accounts in the Greater Boston area. Your job would include engaging consumers though in-store tastings and point of sale signage, occasional will calls, conducting and attending wine dinners, wine events etc. Your route would be greater Boston.
Matchvino began in 2008 as a focused portfolio importing the wines of smaller fine Italian producers to over 20 distributors across the USA. As we have grown, so have the reputations of the wineries we represent. Our producers, mostly making wine on a smaller scale, are minimally sustainable, highly respected winemakers whose wines are true; wines with a soul, that capture the lands where they are grown. Wines that make us smile and we are proud to represent. In Boston, we opened distribution in 2015 and our reputation for having some of the highest quality Italian wines has expanded, as did our need for a sales rep.
First and foremost, this is a sales position, wine knowledge is encouraged, quick learning skills a must. You need to be an eager go-getter that has no problems building relationships. Contact Stacey@matchvino.com.
-Home Internet access and smart phone
-Ability to work weeknights and weekends, when required, for tastings and special events
-Knowledge of sustainable, organic, biodynamic, natural wines.
-Valid MA License and reliable auto, must be a MA resident
-Ability to cold call in both on and off premise accounts to establish relationships and further market growth
-Attend monthly sales meetings, annual portfolio tastings, and other company events.
