Join our harvest team! Lambert Bridge Winery is a small, ultra-premium winery in the Dry Creek Valley, and we are seeking interns for the 2018 crush.
Our interns become an integral part of our winemaking team, working directly with our experienced winemakers to craft exceptional, small lot wines. Our focus is on the five Bordeaux varieties of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec. We also produce fine Petite Sirah, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, and because we can't resist it - a small amount of Blanc de Blanc Sparkling wine.
We are seeking cellar interns with a commitment to excellence that matches our own. Duties may include and are not limited to: grape sampling, sample preparation, cleaning and sanitation, grape sorting and processing, pump-overs, pressing, additions, fermentation monitoring, barrel work, and some lab work. We employ meticulous winemaking and sanitation techniques, and our interns will play a key role in maintaining high standards throughout harvest.
Candidates should possess a keen interest in all aspects of winemaking, a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and good communication skills. Must be able to to climb ladders and stairs, as well as be able to lift 50 lbs. Fluency in English and previous harvest/cellar experience are essential, forklift experience is preferred. J1 visas for enology for non-US citizens obtained through RENZ in New Zealand, Bibber in Australia, and CAEP and Experience International in the US.
