Cellardoor winery in Lincolnville, Maine located on the scenic mid-coast is seeking harvest interns for the 2018 season (Sept 1 - mid November). Interns will be part of a very small team and can expect to be involved with all aspects of the harvest production process. Applicants should expect to work 40+ hr/week for several weeks straight, including weekends. Interns will gain experience making still, sparkling, and late harvest wines working with vinifera grapes shipped from Washington and California and hybrid grapes grown on our estate vineyard.
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
• Processing and sorting fruit
• Fermentation/cap management (pump-overs)
• Barrel Work
• Vineyard sampling and analysis
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and posses a strong desire to learn. Ability, and willingness to lift 50lbs repeatedly and climb stairs is required. We will provide all necessary training.
