Director, Sales - CENTRAL REGION

•  MUST LIVE IN ONE OF THESE CITIES: DENVER, OKLAHOMA CITY OR KANSAS CITY
TERRITORY COVERAGE: ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, CO, NM, AZ

The Director of Sales will have strategic, tactical and on-going management of the following:
•  All sales & marketing initiatives for the complete portfolio of the Terravant Wine Company’s services and products within assigned region including, but not limited to the following:
o Private Label wines
o National Brands
o Bottled Wine Portfolio (Shiners)
•  Oversee and effectively sell portfolio to a wide-range of customers, which could include:
o Chain retail
o Chain restaurants
o Chain hotels
o Large negociants
o Broad market
o Direct to consumer
•  Leadership role in the management and development of regional sales team
•  Complete regional P&L responsibility, including all expenses, revenue and margin delivery
•  Ownership of all sales goals and initiatives to achieve those goals, as well as any programming to grow and maintain current business
•  Complete all SalesForce updates, paperwork and projects in a timely manner
•  Complete daily, weekly and monthly reporting in a timely manner
•  Work with other departments in a professional, courteous and positive manner
•  Maintain open communication with teammates and senior staff
•  Breakdown of weekly activities
o Prospecting new business - 35% of time
o Developing, penetrating and servicing current customers – 50% of time
o Administration, reporting, sales meetings, team meetings - 15% of time
•  Other responsibilities as assigned


A successful Director of Sales:
•  Will have a minimum of 8-10 years direct high-level wine sales experience with a solid foundation in complex wine sales to a diverse group of customers, including large national and regional grocery retail, negotiants, D2C retailers, wholesalers, brokers and any new emerging segments that have appeal
•  Will have specific wine industry expertise in initiating and executing complex contracts
•  Will have exceptional talents and a unique drive to go after new business opportunities on a regular basis.
•  Can be extremely open-minded and intuitive to the new way of selling wines services and products to this unique group of customers
•  Can work well under high pressure situations
•  Will be extremely professional and organized in all interactions, be it internally or externally.

This position reports directly to VP of Sales.
