Rutherford Equipment Rental specializes in commercial wine production equipment rentals. We are privately held and have been in business for more than 25 years. The position of Operations Coordinator is the first point of contact for incoming reservations and requests for equipment information. This is a fast-paced, diverse position that requires the ability to multi-task, manage changing logistics and work in a collaborative environment. Our customer satisfaction and the quality of our equipment rentals are paramount to our success.

To be successful in this position, the candidate should have a combination of administrative, logistics, computer and wine production experience. We are looking for a team member that enjoys working with customers and colleagues alike. The ideal person for this position will work well independently and within a team, is professional yet has a good sense of humor.

JOB DESCRIPTION: OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (NON EXEMPT) FULL TIME


PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS REQUIRED

•  A minimum of five years of hands-on winery production experience required
•  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

•  Ability to explain and provide equipment procedures to customers
•  Ability to follow directions for maintaining, storing and loading equipment in a safe manner
•  Valid California Driver’s license required
•  Forklift experience required
•  Ability to use Microsoft Office and reservations software
•  Ability to read/write in English
•  Candidate must be computer literate


TASKS REQUIRED

Reservation Management and Logistics

•  Respond to voicemail, telephone, email and walk-in customer inquiries
•  Utilize the Point of Rental system for reservations
•  Ensure equipment availability and cleanliness
•  Schedule pick-ups, deliveries and returns
•  File open reservation contracts in desk organizer
•  Perform monthly inventory of retail items
•  Perform inventory of rental equipment monthly
•  Maintain equipment files and keep current with drawings, instructions and pictures


Customer service/instruction/consultation
•  Assist customers with questions regarding equipment

Equipment Inspections
•  Perform equipment inspections prior to deliveries and upon return, utilizing forms
•  Prepare equipment for rental, including replacing parts and cleaning

Direct outside contractors for cleaning, maintenance and repair

Other
•  Responsible warehouse and equipment organization, utilizing forklift and pallet jack
•  Assist with equipment deliveries as needed
•  Keep work area clean and orderly
•  Open office and warehouse and lock office and warehouses at end of each day, if necessary
•  Assist with other projects as requested, including but not limited to cellar duties, equipment maintenance and equipment sales

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

•  Must be capable of lifting 65 pounds
•  Must be able to sit/stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time
•  Must be able to frequently lift, bend, squat and reach
•  Must be able to work in a warehouse environment where climates are warm and cold
