Job Description
The Director of Operations is a hands-on role with responsibility for the overall operational leadership and management of manufacturing a range of spirits in different formats. This individual will be accountable for all aspects of operations, including:
> Planning, budgeting, sourcing, producing and shipping goods
> Managing and developing the operations team
> Complying with all applicable local to federal laws in a highly regulated industry
> Making continual improvements to the cost, efficiency, quality, safety and environmental management of operations
> Maintaining and improving the equipment and facilities, including preparing equipment budgets and project plans that encompass new equipment and major repairs for existing equipment & facilities
> Embracing and improving the company's culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement through LEAN principles, implementation of work standards, automation and development of feedback mechanisms

The Successful Applicant
> Education: minimum bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business administration or related field
> Experience: 10+ years in a manufacturing or operations environment in the alcoholic beverage industry, with demonstrated experience in growing operations/production, planning/budgeting and team building. Experience in setting up, running and maintaining a canning line is very helpful
> Character: unrelenting problem solver/doer with developed management skills
> Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills
> Experience working with manufacturing based technology, software, processes and principles
> Willing and able to perform any operations team member’s job, including physically demanding ones
