Job Description
The Director of Operations will be a key member of the leadership team with responsibility for the overall operational leadership and management of manufacturing a range of spirits. This individual will be accountable for all aspects of operations, including:
> Planning, budgeting, sourcing, producing and shipping goods.
> Managing and developing the operations team.
> Complying with all applicable local to federal laws in a highly regulated industry.
> Continual improvements to the cost, efficiency, quality, safety and environmental management of operations.
> Maintenance and improvement of equipment and facilities, including preparing major equipment budgets and project plans that encompass the creation, design and execution of the plans for installation of new equipment and major repairs for existing equipment & facilities, most of which will be implemented in-house by candidate & team.
> Embracing and improving company’s culture of operational excellence and continuous improvement through LEAN principles, implementation of work standards, automation and development of feedback mechanisms.

The Successful Applicant
> Education: minimum bachelor's degree in science, engineering, business administration or related field.
> Experience: 10+ years in a manufacturing or operations environment in the food and beverage industry, with demonstrated experience in growing operations/production, planning/budgeting and team building.
> Character: unrelenting problem solver/doer with developed management skills
> Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.
> Experience working with manufacturing based technology, software, processes and principles.
> Willing and able to perform any operations team member’s job, including physically demanding ones.
