Job Summary:
The Account Executive is responsible for growing the Epic Wines & Spirits portfolio in Strategic National and Regional Retail Chains located in California. The Account Executive will lead the strategic development and implementation of account specific planning and programming that permits achievement of Company and Supplier objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•  Plan time and activities to ensure achievement of Company and supplier established goals as well as sales objectives of Epic Wines & Spirits
•  Maintain up to date and accurate records and pricing for all assigned accounts
•  Present ad, pricing and merchandising recommendations to achieve the Company and supplier goals while allowing sufficient lead time for chain account execution
•  Prepare, develop and present presentations and new item authorizations to key national and regional retail chains
•  Develop strong relationships with category managers and buyers at headquarter level for assigned accounts
•  Gain a comprehensive understanding of how each customer operates including market and consumer strategies and execution tactics.
•  Work directly with category managers and buyers to develop account specific strategies to grow wine share for the Epic Wines & Spirits portfolio
•  Analyze IRI/TARGIT data to identify account specific opportunities for the wine category
•  Collaborate with key supplier partners to develop account specific programs and ensure execution of Epic Wines & Spirits programs and authorizations
•  Collaborate with Epic Wines & Spirits district managers to ensure program execution at store level
•  Track and measure the success of ads, planners and merchandising activities within assigned accounts
•  Monitor and report competitive activity within the market/accounts
•  Secure and process orders in a timely manner
•  Conduct market surveys in conjunction with supplier partners
•  Complete prompt and accurate reports
•  Other duties assigned as needed

Education & Experience:
•  Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4 year college or university is required
•  Minimum of 5 years sales experience in the Alcohol Beverage Industry or related Beverage Industry is required
•  Must present a successful track record of developing and maintaining strong relationships with key account buyers (HQ), key distributor management and chain/key account managers
•  Must demonstrate prior success consistently exceeding sales goals in previous positions

Knowledge, Skills & Other Abilities:
•  Must demonstrate a high level of competency in category management
•  Must have a strong understanding of the Alcohol Beverage category in the Retail Chain environment
•  Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, margins and percentages is required
•  Must possess strong negotiation and selling skills
•  Excellent communication, presentation and organizational skills is required
•  IT proficiency including strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and cloud based computing is required
•  Must have a working knowledge of digital marketing and social media
•  Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Must possess excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently
•  Must excel in problem solving and data analysis
•  Ability to work collaboratively internally and external to the organization is required
•  Possession of a valid driver’s license is required

Physical Requirements:
•  Must have ability to travel within the state of California, with periodic weekend work
•  Must be able to lift boxes 40+ lbs
