Every year we take a small number of people who have an interest in our industry, but are new to Viticulture and we provide them with a full 12 month training programme. Successful applicants spend 6 months in the Cellar and 6 months in the vineyards learning all aspects of grape growing/wine production. The training includes working a harvest in the Cellar, spending time in the vineyards learning about seasonal requirements and tailored training such as tractor driving skills. Cadets may apply for a permanent role during their fixed term contract with the organisation if they have the relevant skills for the role. Training is provided both on the job and through the Primary Training Organisation. The programme is designed primarily for school or college leavers.
