Position Summary

The Licensing and Promotions Associate Manager in focused on the management and development of licensing programs and distributor promotional premiums that align with CBBD brand objectives and growth strategies. This position leads the supplier and agency brief, discovery, creative, development and production of brand licensing and promotional premiums in support of brand initiatives, trade marketing programming, sponsorship execution and field marketing teams. They work closely with all cross functional teams and internal stakeholders to ensure brand deliverables are met. In addition, this role leverages their retail and promotional knowledge and expertise in the management of retail and premiums product development and sales execution to successfully align CBBD brand marketing and sales growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Manages merchandise planning, ideation, production and distribution; works directly with the cross functional teams in the strategic planning of the promotional calendar year and the supporting merchandise; manages the development, implementation and execution of promotional merchandise into the market, for catalog and wholesaler ordering windows, from concept through delivery of product across all programming
• Develop and brief merchandise agencies for all national retail thematic, flow, on premise, off premise, and sponsorship programming to deliver on brand/strategy premium products for both distributor and consumer platforms; evaluates effectiveness of agency deliverables of brand/trade campaigns; lead quarterly audit of inventory and cost-savings analysis for recommendations
• Directs agencies in the content, product assortment, and social marketing campaign communications concentrating on direct to consumer programming and all email and broad based communication directed at our wholesaler network and B2B to support trade and sponsorship execution which includes the managing of agencies on Constellation Beer Gear and DTC site content
• Management of agency and licensees, including relationship development, product development and revenue growth of licensed products; brief licensee agency to align against brand strategy and platforms with merchandise and retail products that can be executed through retail trade and direct to consumer platforms; review licensee creative, catalog and in-store placements and conduct post-sale analysis; evaluate effectiveness of product lines and make recommendations for merchandise category development
• Manages licensees in their performance, product line categorization and relevance to brand strategy and provides guidance in contract terminations, extensions, renegotiations, amendments and/or renewals; assures CBBD teams are informed on licensee status and execution
• Partners with brand teams to identify and manage collaborations with strategic partner brands that reinforce the high-end equity and consumer connection of our brands; manage the partnership and communication of the associated program
• Maintains constant and concise communication with CBBD's Marketing, National Accounts and Field Sales Teams along with key wholesalers to evaluate the effectiveness of merchandise marketing programs via the analysis of sales impact, wholesaler execution and profitability/return on investment of marketing expenditures for select programs; ability to communicate program analysis to management with future recommendations
• Helps recommend and implement comprehensive merchandising plans for new product introductions and line extensions of existing products, encompassing both package extensions and new product lines
• Responsible for trademark accuracy to ensure conformance with brand guidelines and regulatory compliance for CBBD prior to coordination for legal review and approval

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, preferably with an emphasis in marketing
• Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience working in merchandising, licensing, promotional marketing, brand marketing/management, field sales, merchandising or agency capacities working with a CPG organization, preferably in the beverage alcohol industry, to understand the job function, marketing and sales needs and the three-tier distribution system
• Working knowledge in business and production process management
• Must show progressive experience working with agencies in the design, production and distribution of promotional merchandise; experience in translating sales goals to programming with high return on investment highly desirable
• Must be familiar with the process of developing products representing the high-end category and all concerns relating to protecting/developing brand equity
• Strong interpersonal skills; excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization; must have excellent customer service skills with the ability to work with and present to both internal and external customers
• Must take the initiative to learn and acquire new skills and abilities and improve upon existing systems and programs
• Works well in a fast-paced, action-oriented team where priorities change and time frames are critical; must manage time well and be highly organized in the timely delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple programs
• Must be able to work independently and recommend viable solutions to problems and issues
• Must be experienced and be able to demonstrate solid skills using software packages to include Excel, PowerPoint and Word or their equivalents; working knowledge of graphic software Adobe Illustrator a plus
