Compliance Manager

Job Description:



•  Serves as the liaison with regulatory officials
•  Manage Operations compliance
•  Update TTB Basic Permit & ABC Licenses with ownership, address change, or premise expansion
•  Renew TTB Basic Permit & ABC Licenses
•  Manage Out of State compliance
•  Licensing- New and Renewals (DTC & 3-Tier/ Whsl)
•  Label/ Brand Registration- New and Renewals (DTC & 3-Tier/ Whsl)
•  Consulting & Research- Distributor change questions, franchise, compliance guidance
•  Assist new product development to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulatory requirements
•  Monitor federal and multi-state regulatory matters and advise internal stakeholder (Sales, Mkting, Prod) of any change and offer recommendations
•  ShipCompliant Maintenance
•  New/ Cancelled licenses:
•  Add/ remove License
•  Acknowledge Rules
•  Set/ Cancel Report Subscriptions/ Frequencies
•  Add Label Reg approvals (for states where system required, ex: NJ and MI)
•  If DTC: Notify Tasting Room of Rules Acknowledged and Sales Tax Rate (add to VinNow)
•  Renewed Licenses expiration dates, new label registrations for critical states
•  Adjust filing frequencies/ or consult on how-to (as needed)
•  Pay state fees
•  Manage out of state reporting
•  Generation and submittal of Direct to Consumer Excise/ Sales Tax Reports & Wholesale Reports
•  Maintain files and update database as needed.
•  Work on federal and state regulatory compliance processes, procedures and workflows.
•  Complete ad hoc projects as needed.


•  Bachelor's in Business Administration or related field plus 2 years of regulatory compliance experience
•  MUST have superior organizational skills and strong aptitude for attention to detail
•  MUST have a client-driven focus and the ability to communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders alike
•  Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, researching answers to questions as they arise.
•  Knowledge of ShipCompliant, VinNow and prior experience in the wine industry is a plus
•  MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) proficiency required
