Gorman Winery is a boutique winery operated in Woodinville, Washington. We produce grand Cabernets, Syrahs, and Chardonnays from Washington’s best vineyards. Our annual production is currently at 8,000 cases.
We are looking for people who are passionate about wine, have a positive attitude, are detail oriented, reliable, self-motivated, enjoy tasting wine, and are hard workers. This seasonal/temporary position will last from September until November (weather depending).
Various aspects of crush work are:
-Assisting with crushing, fermentation, and pressing
-Prioritizing daily work to ensure efficient use of time and completion of assigned work.
-Operation of harvest and winery equipment
-Cleaning and sanitizing equipment (tanks, pick-bins, and fermenters)
-Punchdowns and pumpovers
-Managing fermentations according to winemaker instructions
-Barrel work, Wine & Must movement
-Forklift driving (previous experience is a plus)
-Able to push/pull 100 lbs and lifting 50 lbs on a regular basis.
-Able to work long hours including weekends, outside and in inclement weather
-Able to work independently as well as with other cellar crew members
-Valid driver’s license
-Must have a phone to be able to respond to texts and emails remotely
-Must be a U.S. citizen or have an appropriate work visa
-Completed at least one cellar internship.
Salary plus season completion bonus. The intern is considered an independent contractor and is not eligible for employee benefits.
