Manages sales of Folio Wine Brands through the distributor network in assigned area. Responsible for nurturing and maintaining a good business relationship with distributor management and sales force, acting as coach, manager and motivator in areas of allocations, depletions, inventories, marketing programs and product placement. Supervise Folio accounts ensuring education of distributor sales force, key accounts and retailers.
Planning, Programming, Pricing (40%)
• New Item and vintage change set ups
• Supplier Visits
• Monthly and or quarterly pricing
• Annual, quarterly and monthly planning/programming
• Incentive Programs-creating and monitoring
Inventory Management (20%)
• Weekly Review of Inventory levels by distributor
• DI and or Biagi Purchase Order generation and monitoring
• Sales Forecasting
Budget Management (13%)
• Coding and reviewing invoices
• Monthly reviewing of DA's , T&E, Sales Promo and Samples
Key Account/Market Work (12%)
• Key Account calls
• Supplier Visits
• Wine Dinners and Special Events(In store tastings)
• General Sales meetings at Distributors
Supervisory Duties (10%)
• Monitoring Direct reports
• Distributor management
Other Non-essential Sales Activities (5%)
• Conference Calls
• Account Call Tracking Form
• Coordinate supplier travel schedule and expectations
Education/Experience: College degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or other related discipline. Must have 5+ years experience in selling wines through multi-tiered distribution channels. Must have experience managing distributor and budgets.
Skills: Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. Able to set and achieve goals; and have strong organizational skills. Must possess strong listening and excellent sales skills. Solid intermediate level finance skills, good math skills and an effective meeting facilitator.
Knowledge: Passion, solid understanding and appreciation for wine and the wine industry.
Physical: Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and travel (including overnight stays). Must be able to lift and carry 40 lbs.
