Overview

Clos Solène, a French-owned luxury winery in Paso Robles’ Willow Creek District in California, seeks a Marketing & Membership Manager to lead the evolution of its relationship marketing and membership programs. This position is central to Clos Solène’s vision of offering a highly personalized, luxury hospitality-driven customer journey—from initial discovery through lifelong brand loyalty and advocacy.

The role bridges luxury marketing, member engagement, and relationship management, overseeing how Clos Solène builds meaningful connections with its members, converts high-value guests into loyal advocates, and maintains its elite standing among collectors and trade partners nationwide.

This role works directly with the Membership Services and Logistics Coordinators (2) to manage fulfillment and administrative logistics, this position focuses on strategy, storytelling, acquisition, and retention—elevating the Clos Solène brand experience across every customer touchpoint.

Key Responsibilities

Relationship Marketing & Customer Acquisition
•  Develop and execute strategic relationship marketing plans that deepen engagement with existing members while attracting new high-value customers.
•  Develop and execute communication strategies that engages non-members after having visited the winery, increasing conversion to membership, purchase and revisits.
•  Work with Hospitality Manager and Brand Ambassador to curate referral programs with on-premise accounts locally in order to drive high-value customers to winery.
•  Work with Owner to build targeted outreach initiatives focused on luxury partnerships—high-profile restaurants, boutique hotels, and sommeliers across key U.S. markets.
•  Coordinate select trade and member events, positioning the brand within collector circles and elite hospitality programs.
•  Create personalized outreach campaigns for top-tier members and collectors in collaboration with the Owners, CEO and Hospitality Director.
•  Analyze customer data to identify new growth segments and tailor campaigns that elevate conversion and retention.

Membership Engagement, Growth & Retention
•  Oversee the evolution and refinement of Clos Solène’s membership tiers, ensuring they reflect luxury value, exclusivity, and elevated experience.
•  Plan and supervise the annual membership calendar, including release cycles, events, and seasonal promotions.
•  Collaborate with the Membership Services Coordinator to ensure flawless execution of shipments and release communications.
•  Drive innovation in member engagement—introducing digital storytelling, experiential content, and loyalty touchpoints that reinforce brand connection.
•  Partner with hospitality and private client teams to create seamless pathways from tasting experiences to membership enrollment.

Marketing & Brand Communication
•  In collaboration with the CEO and creative partners, develop marketing materials that communicate the Clos Solène ethos, heritage, and craftsmanship.
•  Oversee content creation for newsletters, member communications, and website storytelling.
•  Manage CRM-based communication workflows, ensuring targeted, timely, and personalized messages for members and prospects.
•  Contribute to the development and maintenance of the new website (launching 2026) to improve engagement, usability, and conversions.
•  Coordinate digital marketing efforts tied to DTC and membership campaigns, ensuring alignment with the brand’s luxury positioning.

Cross-Department Collaboration
•  Partner with the Hospitality Manager to design and execute membership events (2–3 annually), on-site experiences, and national outreach activities.
•  Work closely with the Accounting Manager and Operations team to align inventory, allocations, and shipping with membership goals.
•  Provide regular updates to the CEO and leadership team on membership performance, growth trends, and acquisition metrics.
•  Lead weekly check-ins with the Membership Services Coordinator to ensure operational excellence and proactive customer service.

Data, Reporting & CRM Management
•  Maintain data integrity and segmentation strategies within the winery’s CRM system (C7).
•  Track KPIs related to membership growth, conversion, retention, and engagement using Enolytics and Treefrog reporting platforms.
•  Develop dashboards and reports that translate member behavior into actionable insights for leadership.

Qualifications
•  Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
•  5+ years of experience in luxury marketing, membership, or relationship-driven sales (wine, hospitality, or luxury goods preferred).
•  Proven track record in developing customer acquisition and retention strategies.
•  Strong understanding of CRM systems, email marketing, and DTC analytics platforms.
•  Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with a hospitality mindset.
•  Ability to travel occasionally for member events and trade activations.
