Wine Ambassador and Educator

Job Description:

Are you a wine enthusiast with a flair for hospitality? Our boutique winery is looking for someone just like you—a dynamic, charismatic Wine Ambassador & Educator who can create unforgettable guest experiences. This part-time role (10-20 hours per week) offers a flexible schedule, perfect for balancing your passion with your lifestyle.

What You’ll Do:

•  Engage & Inspire: Greet guests with warmth and lead personalized tasting sessions that highlight our diverse wine portfolio and unique brand story.

•  Educate & Entertain: Answer questions, share winemaking insights, and bring our winery’s captivating narrative to life.

•  Boost Sales: Promote wine club memberships and confidently recommend wines, events and experiences to customers.

•  Ensure Smooth Operations: Handle transactions with precision, process payments, and maintain detailed transaction records.

•  Coordinate Experiences: Work alongside the Tasting Room Manager and Wine Club Coordinator to book and execute tasting appointments and guest experiences.

•  Support Daily Operations: Help with restocking, cleaning, opening/closing duties, inventory management and setting up for special events.

•  Add a Culinary Touch: Prepare food accompaniments like charcuterie and small plates to perfectly complement our wine tasting experiences.

•  Represent Our Brand: Attend select off-site events, embodying our commitment to exceptional service and hospitality.


Who We’re Looking For:

Must be 21 years or older.

A positive and innovative attitude.

Basic to intermediate wine knowledge with a strong desire to continue learning.

Ability to consistently lift 42 lbs. And stand for extended periods of time.

Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with winery POS systems is a plus.

Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

A professional appearance paired with a dedicated commitment to hospitality and customer service.

Flexibility to work weekends, and occasional weekdays and evenings in a team-oriented and often fast-paced environment.


Preferred Experience & Education:

•  Experience in tasting room operations, hospitality, or related wine industry roles.

•  Experience in high-end hospitality or wine education is a bonus.

•  Holding or pursuing WSET Level II/III qualifications is highly desirable (employer-sponsored training is available for the right candidate).
