Job Overview:
Outpost Wines and Platt Vineyard, part of the Axa Millesimes group, are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Sales development representative to join our growing team. This role will involve driving sales growth by supporting distributors sales teams and building relationships with on & off-premises customers while also representing our brands to the public. As the face of Outpost Wines and Platt Vineyard, you will embody the passion and values of our wine brands, helping to promote our products and expand our market presence.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
• Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to meet and exceed targets for Outpost Wines and Platt Vineyard.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including establishing relationships with retail accounts, restaurants, and direct-to-consumer channels.
• Collaborate with senior sales team members to create and implement marketing campaigns that will increase brand visibility and product sales.
• Track sales leads and opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and reporting of progress.
• Act as the face of Outpost Wines and Platt Vineyard, promoting the brand at various events, tastings, and public-facing occasions, events to increase brand awareness and sales
• Engage with customers, industry professionals, and media to build relationships and grow brand loyalty.
• Coordinate and lead tastings and educational sessions, sharing insights on wine styles, vineyard practices, and sustainability efforts.
• Monitor customer feedback and market trends, providing insights to the marketing and sales teams to help inform future strategies.
Qualifications:
• Experience: Bachelor or Master degree with at least 3 years of experience in wine sales. Passion for wine and a willingness to learn is a must.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with the Californian + Domestic wine industry, including the wine-making process, varietals, and current trends in the market and competition is highly desirable.
Skills:
o Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
o Ability to connect with people and build lasting relationships.
o Comfortable presenting in front of small and large groups.
o Sales-driven with a results-oriented mindset.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and basic CRM tools.
