We have a full-time position available for a friendly, service and sales-minded individual to join our outstanding sales team Saturday - Wednesday! The Tasting Room and Back Office Associate is responsible for providing the best possible customer experience in the tasting room, at special events and by email and telephone.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-Manage inbound phone and email inquiries.
-Process orders.
-Support Wine Club processing.
-Assist with order exceptions– contact customers with expired cards, declines, and payment information as required.
-Ensure distribution list and customer database are current and up-to-date.
-Pack and ship wine and accurately track packages.
-Run daily and monthly reports.
-Run general errands for event set-up and supply needs.
-Performs opening and closing procedures.
-Greets guests upon entry & provides experiences that build brand loyalty.
-Accurately completes end-of-the-day reports, reconciles daily sales, and posts transactions.
-Promotes the sale of wine products, pursues sales opportunities, and encourages customers to purchase wines and join the wine club.
-Maintains physical inventory of merchandise items and restocks wine in the tasting room as needed.
-Assist with booking tasting reservations.
-Pour wine and educate guests while meeting monthly sales and club sign-up goals.
-Ensure all collateral is available for tasting room sales on a daily basis.
-Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Must be at least 21 years of age.
-First-hand knowledge, appreciation and passion for wine.
-Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Retail sales and customer service experience, i.e., the ability to present products, up sell and cross sell.
-Interpersonal awareness, relationship management and influencing skills.
-Database management, social media and data entry experience preferred.
-Valid class C driver license, acceptable driving record and reliable, insured transportation.
-Available to work weekends, holidays and overtime.
-Presents a professional demeanor and appearance.
-Must be able to work as part of a team and individually.
-Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
-Ability to lift/move/carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis.
-Current safe beverage server and food handling certification.
Education and Experience:
-High School diploma or GED required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
-Experience with tasting room and back office wine sales preferred.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning Ability:
-Ability to utilize good judgement and decision-making skills.
-Able to analyze information, make sound recommendations as needed and resolve issues as able.
Computer Skills:
-Intermediate to expert level in the use of AMA/CRM/POS/Microsoft Office.
-Ability to use and manage data in Wine Direct, Nexternal preferred.
-Proficiency with use and management of RedChirp preferred.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly working in a combination of an office and tasting room environment. Employees will work outdoors at times while serving guests and working at special events. The noise level in the work environment is usually low. Events may have a higher level of noise at times.

Employee is required to sit and stand for extended periods of time. May occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and climb.
