This entry level position is a great start to working in the wine industry. Balsall Creek opened its doors in April and has been delighting guests with our culinary offerings from the chef’s demonstration kitchen along with excellent Estate Wines. We are seeking a self-starter who is eager to learn and interested in working in wine and hospitality. This is an integral part of our team and has potential to grow with our business as you learn more about wine, hospitality and build culinary skills.
Job Description:
• Performs ware washing tasks on soiled dishes through the dishwasher.
• Preparation of food for our light bites menu.
• Clean the kitchen to include food walk-in coolers, freezers, and storage area.
• Performs the tasks required for washing pots, pans, and other equipment which must be washed by hand in the sink.
• Maintains the dish machine.
• Sweeps and mops the kitchen floor as necessary to maintain a sanitary environment for food preparation.
• Remove all garbage, boxes, etc. from the main kitchen and restrooms.
• Daily maintenance of the cleanliness of the restrooms.
• Maintains food and beverage service equipment in an organized manner.
• Stock wine in the tasting room.
• Interest in food and wine a plus.
• Physical requirements include considerable walking, bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Friday through Sunday estimated hours 12pm to 4pm
• Pay $15 per hour plus tips.
