Barton & Guestier USA (B&G USA) was founded in 20I0, in Miami, Florida and is charged with acting as the exclusive US importer and distributor for its Parent Company's portfolio of wines, namely wine brands falling under Barton & Guestier, Patriarche and Listel wine houses. B&G USA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Barton & Guestier France (B&G France), a French owned company part of the Castel Group. B&G USA itself owns BGPL USA the subsidiary company that manages the U.S. Department of Treasury Alcohol Importer permit which allows the import and distribution of the wines produced by its Parent Companies. The core mission of the company is to continue to build the 3 prestigious French wine houses of the group through expansion of distribution, strengthening of distributor relationships and a focus on well executed marketing plans.

POSITION SUMMARY:
BGPL-USA is looking for a Field Sales Representative that is a highly motivated, well organized, and self-starting individual. The mission is to exclusively develop the sales and depletions of Barton & Guestier, Veuve du Vernay, Patriarche, and Listel wine brands in New England, with key focus on Massachusetts. You will follow the guidelines and use the tools developed by the company to achieve our common goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Increase sales, depletions, and distribution in the territory with a focus on independent and regional Off Premise accounts.
- Maintain and develop key accounts (Off premise focus) and build flagship accounts. This includes regular sales calls at major trade customers, retailers, and restaurateurs with and without the distributor’s sales representative.
- Work as a team with members of the distributor sales force and marketing team including the National Off Premise team to develop the company’s penetration in this channel.
- Training and education of the sales personnel
- Build relationships with both local buyers and distributor sales representatives.
- Consumer facing activities and brand activation: Wine tastings (In-store & Festivals), wine dinners.
- P.O.S and promotional tools usage and development.
- General Sales meeting presentations.
- Assist with the elaboration of brand plans, promotional and incentive plans.
- Follow the guidelines and use the tools developed by the company to achieve common goals.
- Regular in-state travel with some out-of-state and international travel by various means of transportation (air, train, or vehicle).
- Report directly to the VP of Sales East Region.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years’ experience in field sales for an enterprise in the US Wine industry.
- College graduate with an international profile. A specialization in Wine & Spirit business management or similar commercial field is preferred.
- Proven competency in marketing, project management and business development
- Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
- Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
- Excellent executive presence, communication (both oral and written) and selling skills. Articulate and impactful in group presentations and meetings.
- Enthusiasm, energy, and motivated self-starter who can work with a team and independently.
- Experience in e-com and Digital Marketing would be a great asset.
- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
- Budgeting and financial focused mindset
- French speaking would be a plus.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Ability to travel and work some weekends.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for a prolonged period.
- Must be physically able to lift and carry cases of wine and promotional materials. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, kneel, crouch, or climb.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery employing repetitive arm and wrist motions, such as a computer and phone. Manual dexterity sufficient to reach and handle items.
- Specific vision abilities require close and distance vision.

JOB BASICS:

- Salary range: $65,000 - $85,000 according to experience.
- Eligible for performance bonus + health insurance+ other company benefits.
- Reports to: VP of Sales East Region (based in MA).
