Position Summary:
The Estate Ambassador position is integral to creating unforgettable experiences for our guests and members. This role is responsible for instilling a deep appreciation for our estate, brand, and wines while promoting our membership offerings. Estate Ambassadors will implement our unique approach to luxury hospitality by utilizing relationship-based sales strategies. Success in this role is measured by the effectiveness and frequency with which the ambassador enhances guest experiences and drives membership and sales conversions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Educate yourself on our wines and history.
• Take ownership of entire guest experience. From time of booking to follow-up outreach and everything in between.
• Build and maintain relationships, grow client roster, and cultivate SMV enthusiasts.
• Convert guests into Members.
• Convert visits into sales.
• Convert inquiries into reservations.
• Learn and master our POS, CRM, and reservation systems.
• Possess a high-level of integrity and transparency with regards to all sales transactions.
• Accountable for tracking wine and retail inventory.
• Assist with on-site events.
• Perform daily and monthly estate cleaning and side-work duties.
• Maintain a professional and positive appearance/demeanor at all times and in all instances.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
• 2-4 years of college/university education or equivalent
• 2+ years in a luxury hospitality or sales setting, e.g., winery, restaurant, hotel, etc.
• Exceptional communication, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Enthusiasm for the Napa Valley and its wine, memorable hospitality, and in particular luxury sales.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and POS/CRM systems.
• WSET or CMS certified.
• Must be willing and available to work most weekends, holidays, and special events.
• Possess a team-oriented mentality when it comes to shared duties sales goals, and objectives.
• Possess initiative and drive, a willingness to rise to the occasion.
• Ideal candidates are looking to develop and refine their skillset for career advancement.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and adherence to all safety regulations and operating procedures.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Must be 21 years of age.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
• Full body mobility: This is an active job where you’ll be expected to walk, stand, kneel, lift, etc. for long periods.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Exceptional communication skills: Proficiency in verbal, written, and body language communication is essential. Candidates must present themselves in a professional manner and have the ability to read, write, and speak in English at a college level.
• High-demand work environment: This role requires sustained focus, awareness, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively under pressure.
