Description:
Wine comes from a 54 year old, head-pruned, dry farmed vineyard in the Dry Creek Valley. Vineyard is trained and managed to only produce 2 tons per acre to avoid any mildew and rot issues. Vineyard was picked on September 1st, 2017 at 25 Brix to produce a low 14% alcohol wine. The vineyard is a field blend of 90% Zinfandel, 7% Petite Sirah, and 3% Carignane, which is the blend of the wine. Wine has already had an acidity adjustment and has been aged in primarily neutral American oak barrels.
