2011 Packaging Survey Report: Glass and Wine Shippers
Half of wineries opt for lighter glass; corrugated cardboard and molded pulp are the most often used shippers.

This year’s Packaging Survey Report, which focused on glass and wine shippers, verifies widespread reports that wineries are moving to lighter glass. This trend was confirmed by our survey results, in which almost half of wineries indicated they had turned to using lighter weight bottles for at least some of their wines.
