U.S. Wineries Grow 9% to 6,785
Canada slows with 2.8% gain versus previous year's 11%.

After three years of slower than usual winery growth throughout the United States, this year’s report reveals that the total number of wineries has made a healthy jump: 9 percent in 2010 compared to 2 percent in 2009, 1.5 percent in 2008 and 0.7 percent in 2007. U.S. wineries increased by 562 over last year, to reach 6,785 as of November 2010, according to the Wine Business Monthly proprietary database.
